BTL 2017, an annual event for professionals used to the tourism industry, took place in March, at Parque das Nações in Lisbon. There it was possible to analyze market trends and place your offers in very competitive and creative ways.
ARTWORK COMES ALIVE
The virtual host, personified as the explorer Cristóvão Colombo, became a beacon at the entrance, utilizing motion detection to welcome visitors and spotlight the beauty of Porto Santo Island. This creative touch added a personal and engaging element to the event, setting the stage for what was to come.
The centerpiece of the installation was a virtual reality simulator ingeniously shaped as a basket, offering users a taste of a typical Madeira tour. Equipped with VR glasses, participants embarked on a thrilling descent down the island's hills, immersing themselves in the breathtaking 360º visual panorama of Madeira.
Another highlight was the virtual reality tour, presenting strategic points of interest on the island, including the iconic Levadas Tour. With the aid of VR glasses, visitors were transported to key locations, providing a vivid and immersive exploration of Madeira's unique landscapes.
